ABOUT CATHY
Cathy A.J. Hardy is a singer, a songwriter, music instructor and a retreat facilitator living in Mission, BC, Canada. Cathy learned to love to sing from a very young age and started her music education with piano lessons at the age of 7.
Formerly trained in piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music of Canada, Cathy has taught music lessons from the time she was 16 years old. She has also pursued learning various recorders, voice, and most recently ukulele and guitar. She continues to teach students from 5 yrs-adult in her home studio.
Cathy has also pursued recording 2 CDs in the past 3 years. Both of these albums have been inspired from the Taize community in France and both contain songs from Taize and original songs by Cathy and harpist friend, Karin Dart. The most recent CD was nominated for 3 Gospel Music Awards in Canada.
Cathy is also an affiliate of the Mark Centre of Abbotsford and is involved in leading contemplative retreats in Abbotsford and on Pender Island.
Cathy loves her daily walks in the woods of Mission with her dog, reading books, painting and many friendships.
