M-Div. from Calvin Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, MI. 1991.

What other experiences have you had in life that help make you amazing at what you do?
I’ve pastored a small church in Kincardine, Ontario and a medium sized church in Lombard, Illinois (Chicago area) before coming to Abbotsford. Before all that I worked briefly in residential construction.

What is your favourite part of the job?
When I’ve completed all my administrative duties and I can just work on my upcoming messages. OK, that usually doesn’t happen, but it’s what I always look forward to!

What do you hope to accomplish in your role?
I’m painting a picture of the church that demonstrates the way of Jesus, developing staff so we can all work out of our passion, and always wanting to connect people to God.

Who are your immediate family members?
My wife, Ardie; my daughters Erin and Alanna

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I might choose to do some gourmet cooking, or just read a book, or mess around with the plants in my front yard.

What is one thing about you that most people don’t know.
I knocked out the power to half our town by backing into a power pole (won’t tell you which town but it wasn’t Chicago).
